Sweet Memories Vintage Tees & Candy Presents Quarterly Donation to Akron Children’s NICU

Boardman, OH- Monday, September 11th, Akron Children’s Hospital NICU - Mahoning Valley dedicates a room in honor of Sweet Memories Vintage & Candy for their generous ongoing support and donations. In addition to the room dedication, Sweet Memories presented a check for $5,282.50, which was raised over the last two months.
Since 2020, Sweet Memories Vintage Tees & Candy has been a consistent supporter of Akron Children’s NICU. The company made a name for themselves through their unique officially licensed t-shirts, featuring iconic national brands, such as Isaly’s, Good Humor, Klondike, and Dum-Dums, all founded in Ohio. Sweet Memories Vintage Tees & Candy is Ohio’s largest manufacturer of licensed ice cream and candy branded tees. 20% of every ‘sugar & sweets’ shirt purchase is donated to the Akron Children’s Hospital NICU.

President, Linda Barton states that ‘due to the opening of their retail location in Liberty, right off of Belmont Ave. They were able to raise in two months what they did in a year in 2020.’ Since 2020, Sweet Memories has donated $39,003.98. Barton wants to give a huge thanks to the community for their support in purchasing shirts from events and visiting the 2,500 sq ft retail space.
The store is located at 1282 Trumbull Ave. A1, Girard, OH 44420, where they are stocked full of a variety of vintage sodas, nostalgic candy, and novelties. In addition to all the officially licensed tees from brands from Ohio, their collection includes PEZ, Tootsie, Smarties which all benefit the NICU, In addition to supporting the NICU, Sweet Memories supports the U.S. Military Morale & Recreation programs with their officially licensed military collection of tees.
